Tile Outlet's History
Tile Outlet Always In Stock® was established by Doug Disney in 2001 to systemize the process of taking high quality imported products to market at wholesale prices. This low-price concept is driven by low overhead, produced by lack of elaborate tile displays, small staff, stained concrete floors, and a simple approach to conducting business.
In 2002 Tile Outlet Always in Stock® began selling franchises in the Western United States. As of June 2008 we have over 100 locations sold and under development from California to South Carolina. Our successful approach to selling tile and granite countertops has created a strong demand for franchises. Our extensive training allows non-tile entrepreneurs with business minds to run an operation that can be very lucrative.
Our corporate headquarters and primary distribution center is located in Rancho Cordova, California. We also have distribution centers in Portland, Phoenix, Salt Lake City & Houston to serve our franchisees across the country.
In July 2007, a majority share of the company was acquired by Timepiece Capital and Gemini Investors. This acquisition has given us the ability to expand quicker and more efficiently across the U.S.
